How to prevent and deal with laser condensation in summer?

The laser source is the core component of the laser cutting machine equipment. Laser source has high requirements on the use environment. "Condensation" is most likely to occur in summer, which will cause damage or malfunction of the electrical and optical components of the laser, reduce the performance of the laser source, and even damage the laser source. Therefore, scientific maintenance is particularly important, which can not only effectively avoid various equipment problems, but also extend the service life of the machine.


Key measures to prevent laser source condensation in summer include reasonably adjusting the cooling water temperature, ‌paying attention to the shutdown sequence, ‌maintaining a constant temperature environment, ‌checking and maintaining the chiller, ‌choosing appropriate water quality, ‌ensuring the airtightness of the chassis, and ‌following correct startup procedures order. ‌


  1. Reasonably adjust the cooling water temperature: It is recommended to set the cooling water temperature between 30-32°C to ensure that the temperature difference from room temperature does not exceed 7°C, thereby reducing the possibility of condensation. ‌

  2. Pay attention to the shutdown sequence: ‌When shutting down, ‌turn off the water cooler first, ‌and then turn off the laser to avoid moisture or condensation in the shutdown state due to temperature differences. ‌


  3. Maintain a constant temperature environment: ‌In harsh hot and humid weather, ‌you can maintain a constant indoor temperature through air conditioning,‌or turn on the air conditioning half an hour in advance before each startup to create a stable working environment for the equipment. ‌


  4. Inspect and maintain the chiller: ‌Before the high temperature season begins, ‌be sure to conduct a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the chiller. ‌


  5. Choose appropriate water quality: ‌Use distilled or pure water, ‌and clean scale regularly, ‌make sure the inside of the laser and pipes are clean, ‌maintain laser power. ‌


  6. Ensure the airtightness of the chassis: ‌Check frequently to ensure that each cabinet door is tightly closed, ‌check the communication control interface at the rear of the chassis regularly, and ‌make sure its protective cover is closed. ‌


  7. Follow the correct startup sequence: ‌When restarting in the morning, ‌first turn on the main power supply of the laser (‌not emit light)‌, ‌let the chassis air conditioner run for 30 minutes, ‌after stabilizing the temperature and humidity inside the chassis, ‌start the chiller. ‌


Through the above measures, ‌ can effectively prevent and reduce the condensation phenomenon of the laser source in high temperature environments in summer, thereby protecting the performance of the laser source and extending its service life.
